Doha: Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Expatriates' Affairs Badr Abdelatty and Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Ishaq Dar have strongly condemned what they describe as Israel's blatant aggression against Qatar. During a meeting held in Doha, the two diplomats expressed their full solidarity with the Qatari government and people.
According to State Information Service Egypt, this meeting occurred on the sidelines of the preparatory ministerial meeting for the extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit scheduled in Doha. Abdelatty and Dar reviewed bilateral relations between Egypt and Pakistan, emphasizing a shared commitment to enhance cooperation in political, economic, and trade fields. They also explored new collaboration areas aimed at mutual benefits for both nations.
The ministers expressed determination to continue efforts within the framework of the Developing Eight (D-8) Organization for Economic Cooperation, with Egypt having assumed chairmanship in December 2024. They discussed identifying new opportunities for economic and trade cooperation, attracting investments, and encouraging collaboration among member states.
Additionally, Abdelatty briefed Dar on Egypt's initiatives to achieve a ceasefire and facilitate humanitarian aid delivery to the Gaza Strip. The meeting also included an exchange of views on addressing political and security challenges in the region to promote stability in the Middle East.
