Cairo: Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriates Minister Badr Abdelatty and his Mauritanian counterpart Mohamed Salem Ould Merzouk have called for an immediate halt to Israeli attacks on Gaza and emphasized the urgent need for the delivery of humanitarian aid.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the ministers made these statements during a meeting held on the sidelines of the Arab League's 164th session in Cairo. They underlined the importance of Arab unity and the pursuit of political solutions as essential steps toward ending the suffering of Palestinians and achieving their legitimate national aspirations.
The discussions also reflected on the longstanding historical ties and the increasing cooperation between Egypt and Mauritania. Both ministers committed to enhancing bilateral relations to support development and stability not only in their respective countries but also across the broader Arab and African regions.
