Cairo: Egypt's Minister of Public Business Sector Mohamed Sheemy met with India's Ambassador to Egypt Suresh Reddy on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, to discuss prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation across various economic and industrial sectors, as per a statement from the Egyptian Cabinet.According to State Information Service Egypt, the discussions centered around potential collaborations with companies affiliated with the Egyptian ministry. Key areas of interest included pharmaceuticals, particularly the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients and treatments for chronic and critical illnesses, as well as textiles, ready-made garments, fertilizers, chemicals, aluminum, and the automotive manufacturing industry.The talks also explored opportunities in the mining and hospitality sectors, where several Indian companies have already established a presence. The Egyptian ministry showcased its portfolio of state-affiliated firms and investment opportunities as part of its strategy to attract Indian p artners and strengthen industrial and commercial ties between the two nations.
