Egypt and Greece Enhance Bilateral Cooperation in Tax Systems

Washington: Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk asserted Egypt's commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation with Greece, particularly in the exchange of expertise and insights on fiscal policies and the development of tax and customs systems, as well as in fostering joint investments between the two countries.

According to State Information Service Egypt, during his meeting with Greek National Economy and Finance Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB) Annual Meetings in Washington, Kouchouk expressed Egypt's aspiration to expand economic, trade, and investment exchanges with Greece. This initiative is aimed at reflecting the deep historical ties and strategic relationship between the two nations.

Kouchouk highlighted Egypt's interest in increasing contributions from Greek companies in key strategic sectors of the Egyptian economy by leveraging the promising investment opportunities currently available. He emphasized the significant role of the private sector in enhancing the economic partnership between Egypt and Greece.
