Cairo: Minister of Defense and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Meguid Saqr, held talks with Ghana's Finance Minister and Acting Defence Minister, Cassiel Ato Forson, focusing on strengthening bilateral military cooperation.According to State Information Service Egypt, Saqr emphasized the longstanding ties between the armed forces of Egypt and Ghana and expressed hopes for expanding collaboration across various military sectors. Forson, who was accompanied by a senior delegation, reaffirmed Ghana's commitment to fostering closer military relations with Egypt. He acknowledged Cairo as a pillar of regional stability and commended its role in supporting African nations during crises.The discussions were attended by Egypt's Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Ghana's Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General William Ayamdo, along with senior officers from both countries' militaries.
