Cairo: Minister of State for Military Production Eng. Salah Suleiman Jumblatt recently hosted Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Zukan Heliz, during his official visit to several military production companies in Egypt. The purpose of the visit was to explore and discuss joint cooperation opportunities in defense industries that are of mutual interest to both nations.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting was attended by a high-level delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the head of the Egyptian Armed Forces' Armament Authority, and several officials from the Ministry of Military Production and the National Authority for Military Production. The discussions were extensive, focusing on the manufacturing, technological, and technical capabilities of both countries. Emphasis was placed on integrating and exchanging expertise, as well as the importance of training human resources, considered essential to the manufacturing process.
During the meeting, Minister Jumblatt welcomed the attendees and highlighted the Ministry's commitment to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to enhance international cooperation in industrial and technological fields. He underscored these fields as fundamental for achieving sustainable development and building effective partnerships with friendly nations. Jumblatt also outlined the Ministry's efforts to localize industrial technologies, deepen domestic manufacturing, and develop industrial infrastructure to meet the needs of the Armed Forces and the Police. This aligns with national projects and supports the state's sustainable development goals and industrial transformation.
The Minister expressed his hope to establish strategic partnerships with Bosnia and Herzegovina through joint manufacturing, technology transfer, and other collaborative efforts. Jumblatt also conveyed his pride in the historical relations between Egypt and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which are characterized by mutual respect and constructive cooperation.
