EDA chairman lauds cooperation between Egypt, Zimbabwe

Chairman of Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) Tamer Essam lauded the strong ties binding Egypt and Zimbabwe.

The EDA is keen on exchanging expertise with Zimbabwe in sphere of controlling pharmaceuticals, he added during his meeting with a high-level Zimbabwean delegation under the chairmanship of Zimbabwean Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube.

The meeting was attended also by the Zimbabwean deputy minister and Zimbabwean Ambassador to Egypt Shebba Shumbayaonda.

The meeting tackled ways of boosting bilateral ties between the two sides in the various spheres related to the pharmaceuticals.

The meeting also shed light on the mechanisms related to boosting trade exchange between the two countries.

For his part, the Zimbabwean finance minister lauded the remarkable improvement witnessed by the EDA at the drug control system.

Zimbabwe places great confidence on Egypt’s capabilities in the pharmaceuticals sphere, he added.

Meanwhile, the Zimbabwean ambassador said that cooperation with Egypt dates back to several years.

She further commended the advancement of infrastructure and technology in Zimbabwe, as well as the human capabilities.
