Death toll rises to 4 dead, 23 injured in Qalyub train accident

The Ministry of Health and Population said that the death toll rose to four dead and 23 wounded after a train that was heading for Menuf derailed on Tuesday7/3/2023 and collided with the platform of Qalyub station, Qalubiya governorate, in Lower Egypt.

The ministry added that the injured were moved for medical treatment and 11 persons left hospitals after their heath condition had become stable.

It said 20 ambulances rushed to the site of the crash to ferry the injured to the hospitals.

Health and Population Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar had followed up the condition of the wounded to ensure that they receive the required medical treatment.
