Communications Minister Amr Talaat Commences Working Visit to New York

Cairo: Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat departed Cairo this morning en route to New York for a four-day working visit. During this visit, he plans to engage with officials from major American companies in the telecommunications and information technology sectors to explore avenues for expanding mutual cooperation.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Talaat's meetings aim to highlight investment opportunities in Egypt's telecommunications and information technology sector. This includes discussing the competitive advantages the sector offers, which make it an attractive destination for major global companies. The discussions will also focus on opening new channels for collaborative knowledge transfer and attracting further American investments, particularly in sectors such as telecommunications, outsourcing, electronics design and manufacturing, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.

In addition to these meetings, Talaat is scheduled to participate in the United States Executive Forum of the Global Semiconductor Alliance. This forum gathers industry leaders, executives, and experts to exchange experiences and explore new opportunities within the global semiconductor sector's value chain.
