The cabinet media center denied reports about a ministerial decision to suspend classes at all schools nationwide on Wednesday26/10/2022 over adverse weather conditions.
In a statement on Tuesday 25/10/2022, the center said it contacted the Ministry of Education and Technical Education that dismissed these news reports as groundless, noting that no decision has been issued to that effect.
Governors are responsible for determining whether class suspension is necessary or not in their respective governorates, based on the weather forecast report issued by the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA), the ministry noted.
The center urged all citizens not to be misled by such rumors, urging media outlets and social media users to verify the accuracy of any news reports before sharing them.
