Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, to discuss a number of political, economic, and social issues on the government's agenda, alongside reviewing ways to implement presidential directives assigned to the government efficiently and within appropriate time frames. The meeting focused on ensuring that government actions align with the directives given by President El-Sisi, particularly in addressing citizens' needs and mitigating inflation.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Cabinet is set to deliberate on several critical topics, including monitoring market activity, ensuring the availability of food commodities, and advancing national projects across Egypt's governorates. The meeting also emphasized the importance of increasing spending on healthcare, education, and social protection as part of efforts to enhance citizens' well-being.
The agenda included discussions on expanding social protection measures to support the most vulnerable citizens and examining files related to education and healthcare development. Other areas of focus were comprehensive development, investment, export growth, and localizing industries under Egypt's Vision 2030 framework.
The Cabinet also planned to follow up on previous measures concerning investment, industry, and exports, with particular attention to expanding agricultural land and providing industrial land for investors. Discussions also covered social security schemes, taxation matters, development in various state sectors, and measures to support low-income groups and meet citizens' needs broadly.
