Acting health min. follows up Eidul Adha medical security plan

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Acting Health and Population Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar on Saturday followed up the adequate implementation of a nationwide medical plan for Eidul Adha celebrations.

Abdel Ghaffar visited ambulance units and mobile clinics deployed along all roads leading to coastal cities of Alexandria and Marsa Matrouh. The visits come as part of a larger field tour of some healthcare facilities.

Meanwhile, Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said 62 ambulance vehicles had been stationed along the international coastal freeway, 42 vehicles along Cairo-Alexandria Road, 14 vehicles along Wadi El Natroun-Alamein Road, and 15 vehicles along El Dabaa road.

He added that 18 ambulance vehicles had been deployed under road bridges; while 25 mobile clinics had been set up at gathering places, tourist resorts and beaches in Marsa Matrouh governorates.

Assistant Health and Population Minister for National Projects’ Affairs Anwar Ismail and the Ministry’s Undersecretary in Matrouh Ahmed El Beltagy accompanied Abdel Ghaffar during his tour.
