DETAILS OF THE CASE: According to the lawsuit, defendants throughout the Class Period touted Inari’s “record revenue,” purportedly driven by “the strength in our core [venous thromboembolism] (“VTE”) business.” But defendants failed to disclose that a significant portion of its expenses were used to compensate medical professionals improperly for using Inari’s products. In truth, while defendants were speaking positively about Inari Medical’s growth prospects, it had been engaging in illegal business practices. Specifically, Inari Medical had been unlawfully compensating health care professionals in violation of the federal Anti-Kickback Statute and Civil False Claims Act. Defendants also misled investors regarding business expenses in order to conceal their illicit conduct. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages.

HAMAS CAPTURES SEVERAL ISRAELI TROOPS IN COMPLICATED OP

Resistance fighters in the northern Gaza Strip on Saturday night killed, wounded, or captured several Israeli soldiers in a complicated ambush operation, Abu Obeida said in an audio file.

According to Al-Jazeera, Abu Obeida noted that Hamas fighters ‘lured a Zionist force’ into a tunnel and ‘killed, wounded, and captured’ an unidentified number in northern Gaza’s Jabalia camp.

He stressed that the enemy continues a blind and absurd policy of revenge and destruction.

He added that further details about the ambush operation would be released soon.

The people of Lebanon and the West Bank poured into the streets to celebrate after the spokesman for the Qassam Brigades announced that Zionist troops had been captured in northern Gaza.

The Palestinian Samaa news agency reported that people also took to the streets to celebrate in the towns of Dura and Tyre, as well as in the Palestinian refugee camps of Ain al-Hilweh, Nahr al-Bared, El-Buss, and Rashidieh in Lebanon.

FM partakes in ministerial committee meeting to end the war on Gaza with European officials

Brussels: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, participated on Sunday in the meeting of the ministerial committee tasked by the Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Joint Summit to take international action to stop the war on Gaza, with foreign ministers and representatives of European countries, to discuss the urgent need to end the war in Gaza and take the necessary steps to implement the two-state solution, following the meeting held on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum special meeting in Riyadh in April.

In a speech during the meeting, Safadi emphasized that the Israeli occupation is the root of the conflict in the region, and that Israel’s unilateral and illegitimate actions, its continuous and ongoing violations of the rules of international law and international humanitarian law, and the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza undermine all chances of achieving peace in the region.

Safadi stressed the need to recognize the Palestinian state, and to intensify efforts
to materialize this state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, on the basis of the two-state solution, as the only way to end the conflict and achieve security, stability and peace in the region.

Safadi warned of the danger of Israel’s continued military operations in Gaza and Rafah, and the obstruction of the entry of sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid to the Strip, whose people have been suffering from an unprecedented humanitarian disaster since October 7, and the danger of unilateral and illegal Israeli measures in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

The meeting, chaired by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide, in cooperation with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, was attended by Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Palestinian Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs Mohammad Mustafa, a
nd ministers and representatives of: UAE, Egypt, Algeria, Bahrain, France, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, Latvia, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Greece, Canada, Turkey, Britain, the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Crown Prince to Al Arabiya: ‘We must embrace change and we have the intelligence and skill it takes’

Amman: His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II expressed his confidence in Jordan’s future and its youth’s ability and intelligence to build on past achievements.

In an interview with Al Arabiya’s Taher Baraka on the occasion of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s Silver Jubilee, the Crown Prince discussed the challenges that Jordan has faced and surmounted over the past 25 years.

His Royal Highness said that despite instability in the region and its economic repercussions on Jordan, the country has emerged safely from regional turmoil.

The Crown Prince added that the more imperative question today is what the next 25 years will look like, adding that, “It is critical that we develop our education and our industry, promote tourism, attract more investments, and open new markets.”

Responding to a question on how His Majesty was able to gain global respect and build Jordan’s international stature, the Crown Prince explained that His Majesty is candid and forthright and offers perceptive advice
and insight to world leaders.

His Royal Highness added that His Majesty remains consistent and true to the stances he takes, which he described as a rare trait in today’s politics.

Commenting on the latest developments in Gaza, the Crown Prince described the world’s failure to stop the tragedy unfolding there as inconceivable. “To date, 35,000 people have been killed, 70 per cent of whom are women and children. What number will move the world to act?” he asked.

His Royal Highness underscored the importance of the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative, which offered Israel normalised relations with the Arab world in exchange for granting Palestinians their rights. He stated that genuine peace can only be achieved with public support, and that if people do not believe the rights of Palestinians have been fulfilled, they will neither trust peace nor accept normal relations.

During the interview, the Crown Prince addressed various regional issues. He affirmed Jordan’s openness to work with Arab countries and emphasised
the security, economic, and political benefits that can be achieved through increased cooperation.

On Iran, the Crown Prince said that Jordan, along with all Arab countries, seeks amicable relations with Iran, based on the principle of good neighbourly relations and non-intervention in the affairs of other countries.

Commenting on recent attempts to smuggle drugs and weapons into the country via Jordan’s northern borders, the Crown Prince described these violations as systematic operations by armed groups with significant capabilities that aim to target Jordan’s national security. “Any infringement of Jordan’s sovereignty is a nonstarter that will be confronted,” he said.

On Jordan’s relationship with Saudi Arabia, Crown Prince Al Hussein said, “We have a historic relationship and a shared future, and this is not just a slogan.”

“It is in the region’s best interest for this partnership to continue on all fronts, political, security, and economic, because, at the end of the day, our security and stability
are intertwined,” the Crown Prince continued, expressing admiration of the ambitious and bold vision of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Responding to a question on the future of Syrian refugees in Jordan, Crown Prince Al Hussein said the future of refugees lies in their return to their homeland, noting that there are ongoing efforts to find suitable conditions for voluntary return, and calling on the international community to live up to its obligations toward host countries like Jordan.

On the domestic front, the Crown Prince emphasised that his current priority is improving the country’s economy.

His Royal Highness explained that although Jordan does not have abundant resources, it has the human capital and the capacity to integrate with regional neighbours and expand local markets.

The Crown Prince also highlighted accomplishments in the vocational and technical education sector, noting that this training will provide young Jordanians with more employment opportunities domestically and abroad, with s
horter qualification periods and higher income levels.

The interview on Al Arabiya channel, broadcast on Sunday night, revealed Crown Prince Al Hussein as a type of leader whose personal style relies on building trust over time through actions not words.

Commenting on his recent marriage, the Crown Prince said that this union has changed his life for the better. “Finding my life partner has been a great blessing,” he said.

His Royal Highness also revealed his and his family’s excitement about the upcoming birth of his first child this summer.

The Crown Prince described the family he was raised in as “a normal, healthy environment,” explaining: “I hope I will be able to give my children the same attention my family gave me.”

The Crown Prince concluded the interview by expressing his deep optimism about the future of his country.

“Jordan is steadfast, and will continue to stand strong. I see hope and goodness in people’s eyes. I am optimistic and believe that Jordan will be at a better place in the future
,” His Royal Highness said.

Israel continues to ignore ICJ orders, Euro-Med Monitor says

Amman: Israel continues to ignore orders from the International Court of Justice (ICJ), including the Court’s most recent ruling. This ruling requires Israel to halt its military assault on the Rafah Governorate in the southern Gaza Strip and reopen the Rafah border crossing to facilitate the movement of people and humanitarian aid, said the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor on Sunday.

“In the 48 hours that followed the ICJ’s ruling on Friday 24 May, however, Israel conducted more than 60 air raids on Rafah. Furthermore, dozens of artillery shells and constant gunfire were fired in areas of Rafah where the Israeli military was encroaching. Israel’s ground incursion began at dawn on 7 May and has since spread to the west and central parts of the city, mostly along the border strip. It has already impacted a significant portion of the city,” the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said in a statement.

“Thirteen Palestinians were killed in the 48 hours following the Court’s ruling, including six members of the Qishta fa
mily, an elderly mother and three of her children two girls and one boy and an adult son and his two children. The victims were killed when Israeli planes bombed their home on Saturday 25 May in Khirbet Al-Adas, north of Rafah, an area not included in the Israeli evacuation orders,” the monitor added.

Furthermore, Euro-Med Monitor urged the International Criminal Court (ICC) to acknowledge and handle Israel’s crimes in the Gaza Strip as international crimes, as they fall under the Court’s jurisdiction. Additionally, Euro-Med Monitor asks the Court to expand its lists of arrest warrants to include more Israeli officials, according to the statement.

The United Nations must send fact-finding and investigative committees to the Gaza Strip, defy Israel’s decision to forbid such committees from entering the Strip, and make clear, public declarations whenever Israel denies these committees entry or refuses to work with them in any manner, the Euro-Med Monitor said.
