Cairo: The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population announced that 34,475,868 free medical services have been provided over the past 22 days since the launch of the third edition of the "100 Days of Healthy Lives" campaign, which began on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. This campaign aims to improve healthcare services provided to citizens across the country.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the campaign comes in implementation of the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, who emphasized the importance of strengthening national health initiatives and their role in enhancing the efficiency of the health system and achieving universal health coverage.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the campaign provided 1,905,068 free medical services on Tuesday. He noted that the campaign is providing its services with the participation of 12 different sectors, with each sector playing a complementary role in implementing the campaign and achieving its health and development goals. Based on this cooperation, the campaign has provided 741,334 services through the primary care sector.
Abdel Ghaffar stated that the "100 Days of Healthy Lives" campaign provided 441,186 services through the therapeutic care sector, in addition to 110,789 services provided under the presidential public health initiatives. The preventive medicine sector also provided 101,417 services.
Abdel Ghaffar indicated that the campaign provided 50,834 services through units affiliated with the General Authority for Hospitals and Educational Institutes, while the "Your Health is Your Happiness" mental health support initiative provided 10,447 services. The campaign also provided 218,100 services through hospitals of the General Authority for Health Insurance.
Abdel Ghaffar added that the Ambulance Authority provided 5,653 emergency services, while 104,467 services were provided through the hospitals of the Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers. Specialized medical councils also issued 10,470 treatment decisions at the state's expense, in addition to performing 2,006 operations on waiting lists. Meanwhile, the Therapeutic Foundation's hospitals provided 14,533 services.
Abdel Ghaffar continued that the "100 Days of Healthy Lives" Campaign provided health awareness and education services to 93,832 citizens through community outreach teams deployed in public areas, clubs, and shopping centers (malls) across various governorates. The aim was to raise health awareness and guide citizens to benefit from the services provided by the campaign, in addition to organizing educational seminars and various awareness-raising activities.
