Turkey’s Erdogan starts fence-mending trip to Saudi Arabia

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived on Thursday in Saudi Arabia for a two-day visit that marks a warming of relations following years of tensions between the two countries prompted by the 2018 murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Erdogan arrived at an airport in the coastal city of Jeddah where he was welcomed by Prince Khalid al-Faisal, an advisor to Saudi King Salman, the Saudi state news agency SPA reported.
