Tourism minister reviews developments in implementing visitor services area at GEM

Tourism and Antiquities Minister Ahmed Eissa held Thursday two meetings at the ministry’s headquarters to review the work developments in implementing the visitor services area and the commercial zone at the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).

 

During the meetings, Eissa stressed that GEM is deemed one of the most important public spending in the tourism sector over the past 20 years, as it should spur the sector, and its employment process, as well as empowering the private sector in making a unique cultural experiment, which could attract visitors and tourists from all over the world.

 

The representatives of the consortium, which won the bid of implementing the services area, briefed the minister on the developments of the project and architecture designs for the area.
