Sports min. says serving homeland “great” honor

Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi expressed his sincere thanks to the political leadership, after renewing confidence in the government of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and endorsing a Cabinet reshuffle that included 13 portfolios.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi called on the House of Representatives to convene Saturday to consider a Cabinet reshuffle covering some ministerial portfolios following consultations with the prime minister.

In exclusive statements to MENA, Sobhi said that serving the homeland is a great honor, affirming the necessity of exerting utmost efforts to attain development plans in the country.

He further said that it is necessary to pursue efforts to serve the nation’s causes and work to attain the State’s goals and its supreme interests as part of the plans of the “New Republic” which was established under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

As part of the State’s comprehensive plan to enhance the youth and sports system, the ministry continues its efforts in this respect, affirmed the minister.

“President Sisi is keen on meeting the heroes and honoring them,” said the minister, adding that President Sisi is keen on supporting and enhancing the sports establishments.

The ministry continues its activities and projects to enhance the sports infrastructure, develop the youth and innovation centers, he further said.
