Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy headed Friday to Asmarat city, where he inspected sports playgrounds in the social housing area, in the presence of many young persons and residents of the city.
Sobhy directed establishing a swimming pool and a social building to be affiliated with the playgrounds to serve people in the city.
The minister also met with members of the board of trustees of the Sports Youth City in Asmarat and get acquainted with sports activities made there and action plans in the coming period.
He, meanwhile, participated in the marathon which was held in Asmarat in which as many as 1,000 male and female youth took part.
Sobhy said the ministry seeks to spread culture of exercising physical activities and to make sports a lifestyle in accordance with its action strategies.
