Sisi invites Albania’s PM to attend COP27

Egyptian Ambassador to Albania Mohamed Haider has met with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and handed him an invitation from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to attend the UN Climate Change Conference (COP27), which is due to be held in Sharm El Sheikh city in November.

During the meeting, the ambassador briefed the Albanian premier on Egypt’s preparations for the COP27 to mark a turning point in international efforts to counter climate change, according to a statement released by the Foreign Ministry on its Facebook page on Friday.

Haider highlighted the significant progress in Egyptian-Albanian ties, especially in light of Rama’s recent visit to Egypt and his talks with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli.

The ambassador posted Rama on the embassy’s arrangements for holding the first Egyptian-Albanian cultural week on September 19-25, which includes several artistic events.
