SIS Chairman Highlights Balanced Media Message Reflecting Egypt’s Reality

Cairo: Ambassador Alaa Youssef, Chairman of the Egyptian State Information Service (SIS), emphasized the organization's role in delivering a balanced and objective media message that reflects the current situation in Egypt. He affirmed the country's stability amidst regional and international challenges during a seminar organized by the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center.According to State Information Service Egypt, Ambassador Youssef highlighted the importance of the SIS's efforts to communicate with both domestic and international audiences. This is achieved through continuous engagement with foreign media and efforts to enhance societal awareness regarding the state's positions and national projects. The SIS website, currently available in nine languages, and its social media accounts are being developed to reach a global audience.Ambassador Youssef also noted the SIS's commitment to public awareness initiatives across Egypt's governorates, including campaigns for energy conservation and activities by the Marsa Matrouh Media Office to raise awareness about landmine dangers. He underscored the significance of countering misinformation, citing the SIS's response to a report by The Economist magazine on the New Administrative Capital.He praised the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center's role in fostering citizenship and coexistence through its services and activities. He emphasized the need for a balanced approach in media management of crises to maintain national security while addressing rumors and misinformation that challenge Egypt's strategic interests.Bishop Jeremiah, Head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, highlighted the importance of public awareness in addressing regional challenges. He mentioned the 'Cultural Salon' initiative as a platform for officials and intellectuals to present an objective perspective on regional developments and reinforce the Egyptian home front with factual information.
