Minister of Local Development Hisham Amna sent a cable of greetings Friday to Grand Imam of Al AZhar Sheikh Ahmed el-Tayyeb on the anniversary of Isra and Mi’raj (Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) Night Journey).
In his cable, the local development minister voiced heartfelt wishes to the grand imam on the miraculous religious occasion; the highest honor and divine gift bestowed by Allah on the Prophet Muhammad.
He wished Egypt, Arab and Muslim countries further progress and prosperity.
Isra and Mi’ raj is observed on the 27th day of the month of Rajab, the seventh month in the Islamic calendar.
This event marks the night that Allah took Prophet Muhammad on a journey from Mecca to Jerusalem and then to heaven.
