Large Israeli military forces stormed the city of Jericho and the nearby Aqbet Jaber refugee camp in the midst of violent confrontations. WAFA correspondent said that forces broke into Jericho city and the said refugee camp, deployed throughout their streets and alleys, and took over the rooftops of several homes and turned them into military outposts, spurring confrontations with provoked residents. Violent clashes were reported following the military incursions, during which forces used live ammunition, stun grenades and tear gas canisters against Palestinian residents, however no injuries were reported. Israeli forces continue for the third consecutive day to seal off with flying military checkpoints all entrances leading to Jericho city, thus impeding residents’ movement.
