Israeli authorities to demolish Palestinian-owned agricultural pond, room in Hebron-area town

Israeli authorities today notified a local Palestinian resident of its intentions to demolish his privately-owned agricultural room and a water pond used for agricultural purposes in the town of Beit Ummar to the north of Hebron, according to the owner, Ghassan Brighith. The owner, Brighith, said this is the second time he finds a notice on his property ordering the demolition of an agricultural room made of cement and zinc and a 500-cubic-meters agricultural pond located to the east of Beit Ummar town within a period of 10 days. The owner stressed that if the demolition is implemented, it would inflict severe losses on his farm, which includes plastic houses, irrigated vegetables, almond fields and grape vines extending along several dunums.
