Investment Minister Engages with UK’s ASC Water & Energy on New Projects

London: Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid held talks with ASC Water and Energy Ltd, a UK-based renewable energy engineering company, to discuss opportunities to expand investment in Egypt and support the localization of energy and water technologies.

According to State Information Service Egypt, during a meeting in London with the company's CEO David Reavley, Farid said that Egypt aims to attract investment to support industrial production, create jobs, transfer expertise, and increase exports. He noted that reliable and competitively priced energy remains a major factor in attracting industrial projects, particularly in new investment zones. Egypt is working to expand technology-driven industries and strengthen local manufacturing.

Reavley expressed that Egypt represents a strategic destination for manufacturing and regional expansion. He revealed that the company is studying the establishment of a local presence and partnerships with Egyptian firms ahead of launching its first projects in the country. He added that ASC Water and Energy aims to create jobs, transfer expertise, localize part of its manufacturing operations, and use Egypt as a base for exports to Arab and African markets.
