Cairo: Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Mohamed Farid highlighted the importance of digitalization and digital transformation as essential components for enhancing the business environment and streamlining procedures during a recent meeting.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister engaged in discussions with Vodafone Egypt officials to explore opportunities for collaboration in digital transformation and technological solutions that support government services and the foreign trade system. Farid emphasized the ministry's commitment to expanding digital solutions and electronically linking entities involved in the trade and investment system, aiming to expedite procedures and reduce time and costs for investors and businesses.

Farid also pointed out that the 'Trade Technology Regulatory Sandbox' is a crucial platform for fostering innovation and testing modern digital solutions in trade and investment systems. He highlighted the significance of private sector collaboration to leverage advanced technological expertise.

Vodafone Egypt officials presented several digital solutions focused on connecting trade-related entities and enhancing electronic services. They reiterated the company's dedication to supporting the state's digital transformation and automation initiatives.
