Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq sent a cable of greetings to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the anniversary of Isra and Miraj (Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) Night Journey).
In his cable, the interior minister voiced the police personnel’s heartfelt wishes to the president on the miraculous religious occasion; the highest honor and divine gift bestowed by Allah on the Prophet Muhammad.
On this occasion, Tawfiq wished Egypt, Arab and Muslim countries further progress and prosperity.
Isra and Miraj is observed on the 27th day of the month of Rajab, the seventh month in the Islamic calendar.
This event marks the night that Allah took Prophet Muhammad on a journey from Mecca to Jerusalem and then to heaven.
