Health Minister Engages Burkina Faso Counterpart to Boost Bilateral Health Cooperation

Geneva: Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, met with Burkina Faso's Minister of Health, Robert Lucien, during the 79th World Health Assembly in Geneva to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in the health sector.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the talks focused on expanding cooperation in healthcare development, improving equitable access to quality medical services, and enhancing strategic partnerships and institutional coordination between the two countries.

The discussions also covered collaboration in pharmaceutical and vaccine manufacturing, biotechnology, medical training and capacity building, disease prevention, epidemic surveillance, emergency response, and digital health systems.

The meeting reflects Egypt's commitment to strengthening African and international health cooperation and sharing expertise to advance healthcare systems across the continent.
