The Cabinet media center denied reports claiming that the Egyptian Museum will be closed in coincidence with the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum.

In a statement on Saturday 11/02/2023, the center said it contacted the Tourism Ministry which dismissed the news as baseless.

The center stressed that the Egyptian Museum, located in Cairo, will remain open normally to receive visitors in parallel with the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, located in Giza.

The center called on all social medial users to verify the authenticity of the news circulated.
