German website lauds Egypt’s efforts to revive tourism

The German website “Selket’s Ägypten” has hailed Egypt’s efforts to gradually revive tourism.

The German website further lauded the Egyptian government’s decision to lift all COVID-related entry restrictions for all travellers, whether Egyptian nationals or foreigners.

In a report published on Monday 27/6/2022, the German website, which is specialized in ancient Egypt and the pharaonic civilization, pointed out to a video, published by the Cabinet’s media center, which is considered, the first part in a series named “Egypt.. From here the journey begins”.

The video aims to promote the country as one of the “world’s favorite tourist destinations”.

The website, meanwhile, referred that Egypt was ranked by CNN Travel to be among the top ten tourist destinations worldwide in 2022.

Moreover, it added that Egypt has been declared the second best diving destination in the world by Dive Magazine UK.

The UK’s Daily Mail news website selected Egypt as one of the best tourist destinations for the spring and summer of 2022, added the German website.

The German website also referred to Tripadvisor, the world’s largest travel guidance platform, which named Cairo the second most trending destination in the world and the ninth best destination for city lovers in 2022.

It also sheds light on the efforts exerted by the Tourism and Antiquities Ministry to promote for Egypt’s tourism as well as its decision to provide a half-priced tickets for Egyptians and foreigners visiting archaeological sites and museums in Upper Egypt along with Fayyoum and New Valley.

The German website also pointed out to the Ministry’s plans to implement digital transformation, saying that this has contributed to facilitating the process of buying tickets and improving tourist services.
