Egypt, Netherlands discuss boosting ties in various areas

Egypt’s Ambassador to the Netherlands Hatem Abdel Qader discussed in a meeting with Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Dutch Parliament R.J. Heerema different aspects of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting comes within the framework of the ongoing communication with the Dutch parliament on how to boost bilateral ties in various fields, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement published on its Facebook page on Saturday 17/12/2022.

The two sides explored the possibility of enhancing bilateral cooperation in the management of ports, clean energy and green hydrogen, especially as Egypt launched a number of promising initiatives and signed key agreements for regional and international cooperation in the production of green hydrogen, as well as the trade of liquefied natural gas.

The ambassador posted the Dutch MP on the important role played by Egypt to achieve regional security and stability, where they exchanged views on key regional and international issues of common interest.

Heerema said the Netherland looks forward to cementing relations with Egypt in light of the promising investment opportunities offered by the Egyptian State.
