Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker asserted the depth of economic, trade and social ties with Saudi Arabia.

 

This came on Tuesday during Shaker’s visit to Saudi Arabia at an invitation from Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman to discuss fields of bilateral cooperation.

 

In statements on Tuesday, Shaker said that the meeting discussed a number of issues including boosting cooperation between Egypt and Saudi Arabia in the fields of energy in general and renewable energy in particular.

 

He said that the timeline of the electricity grid project between Egypt and Saudi Arabia is being followed up, adding that the project comes to promote ties between both countries.

 

This comes within the framework of boosting cooperation between Egypt and Saudi Arabia to increase fields of cooperation.
