Egypt and Germany Explore Collaboration in Infrastructure and Urban Development

Cairo: Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Randa el Menshawy engaged in discussions with Olaf Hoffmann, Chairman of the German company Dorsc Global, and his delegation regarding potential collaboration in infrastructure and urban development projects.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting involved a review by Menshawy of ongoing projects in drinking water, sanitation, and urban development sectors. She also highlighted investment opportunities for private sector cooperation on various ministry-affiliated projects. The minister emphasized the Ministry of Housing's commitment to partnering with leading international companies to leverage global expertise in national projects, focusing on smart city planning, infrastructure development, and project management, aligning with the state's vision for sustainable urban development.

The Egyptian government, led by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, prioritizes the creation of new cities and integrated urban communities, alongside infrastructure projects adhering to international standards. These efforts aim to enhance citizens' quality of life and fulfill the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030. Hoffmann praised Egypt's development progress and expressed interest in expanding Dorsc Global's activities in the country, emphasizing collaboration with the Ministry of Housing on future projects based on the company's extensive experience in engineering consultancy and infrastructure.

Both parties agreed to maintain coordination and review potential areas of cooperation, supporting urban development plans and ensuring project implementation meets high standards of quality and sustainability.
