Egypt Affirms Full Solidarity with Kuwait Following Hostile Attacks

Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty held a phone call on Thursday, May 28, 2026, with Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to discuss regional developments and affirm Egypt's full solidarity with Kuwait.

According to State Information Service Egypt, during the call, the foreign minister renewed Egypt's strong condemnation of the attacks that targeted Kuwait. He emphasized Egypt's full solidarity and support for Kuwait in confronting these blatant aggressions.

Abdelatty stressed that the security and stability of Kuwait and the Gulf states are an integral part of Egyptian national security, reaffirming support for all measures taken by Kuwait to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The two ministers exchanged views on regional developments and the ongoing US-Iran negotiations. Abdelatty expressed hope that these efforts would yield an agreement ending the current war and addressing the security concerns of the Gulf states to safeguard Arab national security and achieve sustainable regional stability.
