Education min., WFP country director mull bilateral cooperation

Minister of Education Reda Hegazy on Sunday 5/3/2023 praised cooperation with the World Food Programme (WFP) in many fields.

Meeting WFP’s Country Director Praveen Agrawal, he thanked the UN agency for its ongoing efforts to support community schools, as well as the school feeding program.

Cooperation continues in the process of enhancing education within schools, the minister said.

The ministry is working on the availability axis as well as reducing dropouts by giving an opportunity for students who have dropped out to enroll in community education schools, he added.

The meeting reviewed the new five-year plan being prepared by the World Food Program, which supports successful initiatives focusing on proper nutrition for children in community schools and changing bad eating habits at home.
