Defense Minister and Senior Officials Assess Training Systems at Egyptian Military Academy

Cairo: Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher, along with Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Minister of Transport Kamel el-Wazir, Minister of Awqaf Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Education and Technical Education Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Justice Mahmoud Helmy el-Sherif, and several senior Armed Forces commanders, conducted an inspection of the training and qualification system at the Egyptian Military Academy.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the tour commenced with remarks from Lt. Gen. Ashraf Salem Zaher, who extended greetings and appreciation from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the academy's cadets and participants in civilian training programs. He emphasized the significance of integrating promising civilian talents alongside military cadets as a means of fostering cooperation among Egypt's youth across various fields, viewing them as a vital component of the nation's future and development.

Lt. Gen. Zaher highlighted that such integration serves as the foundation of human development within the national framework and acts as a safeguard for the nation's capabilities and progress across all sectors. He reiterated the Armed Forces' dedication to continuously overseeing the Egyptian Military Academy and its academic programs, ensuring alignment with the latest training and qualification systems.

He encouraged participants to remain committed to training, maintain physical fitness, and stay informed about current issues and developments to enhance their awareness and understanding. Furthermore, he praised the academy's faculty for their crucial role in the training and qualification process.

The inspection included observing various daily sports activities undertaken by cadets and trainees. The Commander-in-Chief, along with the accompanying ministers, participated in a physical fitness parade with participants of civilian training courses and toured several upgraded training fields and facilities focused on physical preparation.

Lt. Gen. Zaher also engaged with participants in civilian programs, discussing topics related to their fields of study and the programs' impact on their personal skills and academic capabilities. The visit concluded with the Defense Minister and accompanying ministers having breakfast with the cadets and trainees.
