Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said Friday that Egypt will send a strong message about mitigation and adaptation measures to all participants in the 2022 UN climate conference, COP27.

Egypt-hosted COP 27 got a mandate to implement the mitigation program, the minister said. “We call on all parties to keep pace with efforts made to implement the program.”

He expressed the hope that all sides will be able to transition to a more sustainable economy through national platforms that seek to accelerate the process, including Egypt’s NWFE platform.
