Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat has discussed with President of Lenovo’s Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Giovanni Di Filippo the company’s investment interests in the coming stage, the competitive advantages of the Egyptian information communication technology (ICT) sector, and ways to boost the company’s investments in Egypt.
The meeting was held on the fringes of the 42nd edition of GITEX Global, the world’s largest tech show, that is held on October 10-14 at the Dubai World Trade Center.
The meeting touched on the communication ministry’s strategy to build digital capabilities that include a large number of training programs covering various technological specialties with a view to meeting requirements of the current and future labor markets in areas of communications and information technology at the local and international levels.
The minister reviewed axes of the Digital Egypt Strategy for Offshoring Industry 2022-2026 and the incentives it provides for investors.
