Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and Minister of Defense and Military Production Lieutenant General Mohamed Zaki sent Friday a cable of greetings to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi congratulating him on the anniversary of Isra and Miraj (the Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) Night Journey).

In his cable, the minister of defense voiced the military personnel heartfelt wishings to the president, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on the miraculous religious occasion; the highest honor and divine gift bestowed by Allah on the Prophet Muhammad.

He alsoprayed to Allah to protect Egypt and its people against any evil, wishing the country further progress and prosperity.

Isra and Miraj is observed on the 27th day of the month of Rajab, the seventh month in the Islamic calendar. This event marks the night that Allah took Prophet Muhammad on a journey from Mecca to Jerusalem and then to heaven.
