Ain Sokhna port receives MSC Splendida cruise ship carrying 2,000 tourists

The General Authority for Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) announced that Ain Sokhna Port received the MSC Splendida cruise ship, as part of its regular voyages that start Saturday and last till mid April 2023.

In a statement, the authority said the giant ship docked at the new quay in the second basin of Ain Sokhna port.

The cruise vessel was coming from Saudi Arabia and docked at Ain Sokhna port with 2,200 tourists of different nationalities and 1,281 crew members on board, the statement added.

The ship comprises several hotel rooms, commercial markets, swimming pools, recreational sites and fitness centers.

This voyage comes within the framework of the State’s plan for revitalizing yacht and cruise ship tourism and as part of a 2022 program to attract cruise ships to the ports of the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
