  • المراقبة الجينومية والمناعة في آسيا:  هذه دعوة لتقديم مقترحات من الباحثين في جنوب وجنوب شرق آسيا لتصميم وتجربة برنامج مراقبة الجينوم أو تطوير القدرة على تحقيق علم المناعة والتسلسل المناعي لـ لمرض سارز – كوف – 2 لتنوير الاستجابة الوبائية. سيتم توفير ما يصل إلى 300,000 دولار سنويًا لمدة تصل إلى عامين لكل مشروع، مع تمويل إضافي محتمل للمشاريع التي تتضمن التركيز على اكتشاف الأجسام المضادة أحادية النسيلة.
  • بناء القدرة على نمذجة البيانات من أجل المساواة بين الجنسين:   هذه دعوة لتقديم مقترحات من الباحثين في البلدان المنخفضة والمتوسطة الدخل للقيام بمشاريع تهدف إلى معالجة التفاوتات والفجوات التي تؤثر على النساء والفتيات في مجال الصحة. تركز هذه المبادرة على الأساليب المبتكرة للنمذجة التي تعزز المساواة بين الجنسين. سيحصل كل مشروع على ما يصل إلى 500,000 دولار على مدى ما بين سنة إلى ثلاث سنوات.

FcResolv™ NOG Models Provide Greater Clarity and More Translatable Data

Murine FcγRs can cause false positives or false negatives, leading to incorrect conclusions and derail drug discovery. FcResolv NOG models knock out these receptors for greater clarity in antibody-based drug studies, affording investigators greater confidence and more translatable data with fewer studies and fewer animals. State min. for military production follows up implementation of number of projects

Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah El-Din asserted the necessity of exerting utmost efforts by the bodies affiliated to the ministry to continue the vital role played by the ministry to support the national economy and industry.

The minister’s remarks were made during his meeting with Board Chairman of Abu Zaabal Company for Engineering Industries (Factory 100) Abdel Hakim Shawqi and top board members.

The minister said the meeting aims at extending full support to all board chairmen of the companies affiliated to the ministry as well as following up the implementation status of a number of new projects.

Factory 100 board members reviewed the activities and status of ongoing projects and their time schedule.

Salah El-Din, for his part, highlighted the big global challenges including the coronavirus crisis and the Russia-Ukraine war and their impact on the world economy, noting that the comprehensive economic reform process conducted by the state has helped in mitigating the impact of such crises on Egypt’s economy.

Bourse shows mixed performance at close of Monday trading

Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices showed mixed performance at the close of Monday’s trading .

The market capital gained EGP 1 billion, registering EGP 711.4 billion after transactions that totaled EGP 2.1 billion .

The EGX 30 benchmark index increased by 0.61 percent, recording 10,320.88 points .

The broader EGX 70 EWI of the leading small and medium enterprises (SMEs) went down by 0.66 percent, hitting 2,224.35 points .

The all-embracing EGX 100 index also went down by 0.56 percent, closing at 3,178.45 points.

NRIAG: Egypt to witness partial solar eclipse Tuesday

The Earth will witness a partial solar eclipse of the sun on Tuesday, said Head of the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) Gad el Qadi Monday, noting that this phenomenon won’t be seen again in Egypt before August 2, 2027.

Tomorrow’s eclipse will be seen in Egypt and will last for four hours and four minutes, from 10:58 am till 3:02 pm, while its peak will be at 1:00 pm when the moon covers 86 percent of the sun, Qadi said in statements to MENA.

The eclipse will also be seen in most of Europe, North and East Africa, the Middle East, South and West Asia, and the Atlantic Ocean, he added.

Irrigation min. witnesses signing ceremony of agreement with Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari

Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Hani Sewilam witnessed on Monday the signing ceremony of an agreement between the Regional Training Center, which is affiliated with the ministry, and Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari to implement the project of the Egyptian-Italian Water Training Program.

As part the agreement, the Italian side will grant a sum of 2.3 million euros to implement the project.

The agreement was signed between Head of the Regional Training Center Tarek el Sayed and Deputy Director of the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari Biagio Di Terlizzi.

For his part, the Irrigation minister affirmed that this project represents cooperation with the Italian side in the water sphere, with a view of building capacities and honing the employees’ skills in the water sector.

Sewilam, meanwhile, pointed out to the importance of supporting the training programs provided to the employees at the Irrigation Ministry.

The ministries of irrigation, agriculture, housing, electricity, and environment will benefit from this project, along with the various universities and research institutes.

Several African countries will also benefit from this project, added the minister.

The project is implemented within the framework of Egypt’s Vision 2030 Strategy, he further said.
