Education and Technical Education Minister Reda Hegazy said on Friday that developing technical education represents an investment in human capital, noting the ministry aims to set up more applied, technological schools in different domains with futuristic specialties.

Hegazy’s remarks came during his meeting with a number of representatives of the private sector and partners of the applied schools to discuss suggestions and ideas for technical education students.

The minister asserted the importance that technical education should be linked with the labor market’s needs.

The Cabinet media center has dismissed as groundless reports that the government decided to increase the price of subsidized bread as of November.

In a statement on Friday, the center said it contacted the Ministry of Supply and Internal trade, which denied the reports, pointing out the government will continue bread subsidy for ration card holders at 5 piasters a loaf, a system from which 71 million Egyptians benefit.

It said the bread subsidy in the 2022/2023 budget is expected to reach EGP 73 billion.

The center appealed to the media outlets and social media users to be accurate while publishing such reports and contact hot number (19588) or WhatsApp numbers (01155508688 -01155508851) or email ([email protected]) for sending complaints.

Minister of Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Soha Gendi said Friday that the government will offer full support to the Egyptian businessmen and investors abroad, who want to invest in projects inside the homeland through potentials available in the country and pro-investment policies, taken by Egypt.

Gendi’s comments came during her meeting with Egyptian businessmen Ashraf Rafael, who live in US, and one of the businessmen taking part in “Egypt can by investment” conference, to get familiar with his plans to pump more investments into Egypt, and to work on urging other Egyptian investors abroad to be aware on the investment potentials in Egypt.

The Ministry seeks reaching the Egyptian investors, living abroad, setting sustainable connections with them, linking them with all the bodies concerned to offer pro-business climate, Gendi said.

For his part, Rafael praised Gendi’s efforts on helping and supporting the Egyptian expats and attracting investments into Egypt through offering incentives to different businessmen and investors.

Planning Minister Hala el Saeed said Friday that the government allocated EGP 54.9 billion worth of investments in the health sector along the current fiscal year 2022/2023.

This allocation represents 3.9 percent of the total investments, set in the fiscal year 2022/2023, she added, commenting on a report, issued by the Planning Ministry of the investment targets in the health sector.

The government’s development plan for the health sector targets offering quality medical services, through a good health system, ensuring the equality for all the people nationwide as part of the Egypt Vision 2030, she added.

The country’s plan for improving the health services rely on several pillars, including the presidential health initiatives, the comprehensive health insurance system, and Decent Life initiative, el Saeed pointed out.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said on Friday that the state is keen to choose the most qualified to assume a post in the state’s administrative body as per presidential directives.

Madbouli was reviewing a report, presented by Head of the Central Agency for Organization and Administration Saleh el Sheikh, to discuss preparations for holding the electronic test for the applicants for 14,813 teacher positions at the Capacity Assessment Center and Competitions.

As many as 60,719 applicants met the conditions.

Madbouli noted that the Capacity Assessment Center and Competitions is a well-regulated mechanism that ensures transparency and justice while testing those who apply for posts at the state’s administrative body.

According to the report, the tests are scheduled to kick off on Tuesday in Qalyoubia governorate for three days followed by the New Valley governorate on October 29, Qena on October 30 and 31, Sohag on November 1 to 3, and Assiut on November 5 and 6.

The remaining governorates will witness the tests in November and December.

Minister of Social Solidarity Nivine Kabbag concluded her visit to Jordan, where she attended the 77th session of the executive office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs in the Jordanian capital Amman.

Proceedings of the session wrapped up on Friday in the Jordanian capital Amman, in which participants stressed the importance of these meetings to face the challenges the Arab region experiencing and implement the goals and objectives of sustainable development and social protection policies.

It also addressed issues related to people with special needs, means of protecting the elderly, in addition to prevention of drug addiction.

General Coordinator of the National Dialogue’s Board Diaa Rashwan made contacts with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli to raise questions and inquiries prepared by the dialogue’s economic committees, to be discussed during the Economic Conference.

The questions cover the files of inflation, exchange rate, budget deficit, public debt, private investment, public investment priorities, and economic justice.

This comes within the National Dialogue’s efforts to contribute to discussing the current economic issues, he said, adding that the National Dialogue will use the outcome of the conference in its event within the integrative relationship between the Conference and the Dialogue.
