State min. of military production visits Abu Zaabal companies

State Minister of Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi visited a number of production lines and new projects in Abu Zaabal Company for Specialty Chemicals (AZC) and Abu Zaabal Company for Specialized Industries to follow up the production operation.

 

The minister was briefed on the activities of both companies to cooperate with the different bodies of the state and the implementation of the different current projects.

 

He stood on the flow of work in the different production lines which are operated by the most efficient workers, engineers and technicians.

 

Morsi also listened to the proposals of the workers which are related to the development systems and upgrading work inside the workshops and production lines, asserting that the human factor in the main element in the production operations.

 

Spokesman for the Ministry of Military Production Mohamed Eid Bakr said that the military production companies worked on achieving a number of unprecedented accomplishments which contributed to pushing forward the production wheel in Egypt not only in the military field but also in the civil field.

PM: COP27 important for cooperation with development partners

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli underlined the importance of holding the UN Climate Conference (COP27) in light of the current global economic crisis.

The premier’s remarks were made during his meeting on Monday with a number of banks’ CEOs and senior officials and chiefs of national companies participating in COP27.

Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait, Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs Ambassador Ashraf Ibrahim and First Assistant to Finance Minister Sherin El Sharqawi attended the meeting.

The premier said COP27, to be held in Sharm El Sheikh in November, acquires great importance as it will discuss on a wider scale means of implementing the pledges made during Glasgow conference (COP26) concerning the decrease of carbon emissions along with exploring means of enhancing cooperation among the various countries on climate action.

The premier said a large number of heads of state and governments, senior officials at major international companies and foundations will attend the conference, providing a big chance for the Egyptian government to promote its projects and push forward cooperation with development partners.

Maait, for his part, noted that a number of privileges will be given to companies willing to sponsor the conference proceedings, noting that sponsorship rights will be available on the conference’s website www.cop27.eg.

Special financial committees tasked with preparations for COP27 will assess applications filed by companies to sponsor the conference and assess if such companies comply with the necessary requirements, Maait added.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Banks Mohamed El Etreby said several coordination meetings will be held as regards COP27, asserting that full support and care will be given to render the conference a success and that the Egyptian state is capable of organizing such international events.

Social solidarity min. launches campaign to combat cyber extortion

Social Solidarity Minister Nivine el Kabbag stressed the importance of raising public awareness about social issues, saying that this would contribute to spreading community peace and guaranteeing personal security and the rights of vulnerable groups.

These are the most important pillars of the National Strategy for Human Rights, which was launched by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, added the minister while launching a campaign to combat cyber extortion under the slogan “Do not be afraid.. Speak Up”.

The campaign was launched in cooperation with Al Korra For Sustainable Development.

Kabbag, meanwhile, launched a call to break the barrier of silence, urging women to reject all forms of blackmailing.

The minister further urged the society to shun negativity against wasting women’s rights.

It is increasingly worrisome that with the rise of the use of internet worldwide, cybercrime is becoming more aggressive and confrontational, she said. This can be seen across the various forms of cybercrime, including cyber extortion, added the minister.
