World Leaders Gather for Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit


Sharm el-sheikh: The Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, co-chaired by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and US President Donald Trump, will see participation from numerous global leaders. Attendees include Jordan’s King Abdullah II, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Kuwait’s Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the presidents of Turkey, Indonesia, Azerbaijan, France, and Cyprus, alongside the German Chancellor, will also take part in the summit set for Monday, October 13, 2025. The event will bring together prime ministers from the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Greece, Armenia, Hungary, Pakistan, Canada, Norway, and Iraq, as well as the vice president of the United Arab Emirates.



Additionally, the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Oman, the UN secretary-general, the secretary-general of the Arab League, the president of the European Council, India’s minister of state for external affairs, the Japanese ambassador in Cairo, and former UK prime minister Tony Blair are slated to attend.



Presidential Spokesman Mohamed El-Shennawy highlighted that Saudi Arabia’s delegation will be led by Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Bin Abdullah Al Saud. He also noted that Paraguay and the Netherlands will participate in the event. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be absent due to a religious holiday.
