Sport Ministers of Egypt and Palestine Discuss Strengthening Youth and Sports Cooperation


Cairo: Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports and President of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Youth and Sports Ministers, welcomed Major General Jibril Rajoub, the Palestinian Minister of Youth and Sports, at the ministry’s headquarters.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting focused on the recent developments in the sports and youth sectors and explored ways to enhance cooperation between Egypt and Palestine in various areas of mutual interest. Dr. Sobhi emphasized Egypt’s commitment to supporting Palestine in multiple fields, highlighting the importance of Arab and regional cooperation in exchanging successful experiences. This aligns with the political leadership’s vision to strengthen relations with sister Arab countries.



Dr. Sobhi reiterated the robust nature of Egyptian-Palestinian relations, stating that the meeting signifies Egypt’s ongoing commitment to supporting Palestinian youth. He underscored the importance of investing in youth as a means to build future generations capable of achieving accomplishments. He affirmed that Egypt remains a key partner for Palestine in fostering youth development.



Major General Jibril Rajoub expressed gratitude to Egypt for its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. He emphasized that cooperation in youth and sports is pivotal in strengthening bilateral relations and empowering Palestinian youth, contributing to their development in various sports fields.
