Cairo: Egypt’s Suez Canal Economic Zone Authority (SCZONE) denied on Thursday 25 December 2025 the social media claims that a vessel carrying military equipment docked at Port Said, one of its key ports, en route to a foreign destination.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the authority called on outlets to verify information with official sources before publication. It warned that inaccurate reports or rumours could damage the reputation of the SCZONE, which is a flagship national project designed to attract investment, support industrial development, and expand logistics services as part of Egypt’s broader economic strategy.
