Cairo: Minister of Public Business Sector Mohamed Shimi engaged in discussions with a delegation from the Afro-Asian Investors Union to enhance investment cooperation and explore new partnership opportunities with the private sector.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting focused on the ministry's ongoing reform efforts aimed at developing affiliated companies through technical, administrative, and financial restructuring. These efforts are intended to improve operational efficiency and maximize returns from state-owned assets.
Shimi highlighted that the ministry's companies present promising investment opportunities in key sectors such as mining and metallurgy, chemicals and fertilizers, textiles, pharmaceuticals, tourism, and real estate development. He emphasized the ministry's openness to various forms of partnership with the private sector.
The delegation expressed their interest in the proposed opportunities and their eagerness to strengthen cooperation with the Ministry of Public Business Sector, aiming to support investment and add value to the national economy.
