President El-Sisi Attends Event Commemorating Laylat Al-Qadr

Cairo: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi attended a celebration marking Laylat Al-Qadr, organized by the Ministry of Religious Endowments at Al-Manara International Conference Center. The event was also attended by Speaker of the House of Representatives Counselor Hisham Badawy; Speaker of the Senate Counselor Essam El Din Farid; Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly; Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher; Minister of Religious Endowments Dr. Ossama Al-Azhari, as well as a number of ministers and senior state officials.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Spokesman for the Presidency Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy said the ceremony commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. This was followed by a cinematic presentation of the Most Beautiful Names of Allah, voiced by the contestants of the 'State of Recitation' program. Then all contestants ascended the stage as a documentary on the 'Great Transfiguration' in Saint Catherine was screened. Subsequently, a short film featured the Call to Prayer (Adhan) captured from various world capitals, leading into a segment of religious chants and supplications performed by five finalists from the 'State of Recitation' competition.

The event also featured a visual presentation on the Holy Quran Radio, followed by the President's formal authorization to launch its dedicated website and application, as a message of love from Egypt to the entire world.

A documentary then highlighted the features of these digital platforms, followed by a tribute to Egypt's legendary reciters. Upon its conclusion, a documentary series was launched to immortalize the heritage of the revered reciters. This was followed by the song 'Here is the Quran,' after which Dr. Al-Azhari delivered an address, concluding with the presentation of the Ministry's present to the President: a scale model of Al-Aziz Al-Hakim Mosque.

The celebration also featured a visual presentation on the 'State of Recitation' program, followed by the President honoring the winners across its various categories, alongside the laureates of the 32nd Global Holy Quran Competition. In the concluding phase of the event, President El-Sisi thanked the organizations that contributed prizes for the 'State of Recitation' competition and delivered a speech on the occasion.
