President El-Sisi and President Hassan Discuss Bilateral Relations and Economic Cooperation


Cairo: This evening, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi engaged in a telephone conversation with President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Hassan.



According to State Information Service Egypt, President El-Sisi extended his congratulations to President Hassan on her re-election for a second term and the successful completion of parliamentary elections, along with the formation of the new government. He commended the significant advancements in the bilateral relations between Egypt and Tanzania, which serve as a model for cooperation and economic integration among African nations. Both leaders expressed their commitment to further enhancing political consultations.



President Samia Hassan expressed her gratitude for President El-Sisi’s congratulations, emphasizing the pride of the Tanzanian government and people in the support provided by Egypt in various fields. She also expressed her eagerness to welcome President El-Sisi to Tanzania at the earliest opportunity for the inauguration of the Julius Nyerere hydroelectric Dam. The Tanzanian President sincerely thanked President El-Sisi for his efforts that contributed to the completion of this significant dam project.



The conversation also centered on advancing economic relations between the two countries, highlighting the necessity of boosting trade exchanges and taking practical steps towards this goal. President El-Sisi affirmed Egypt’s readiness to increase Egyptian investments in the Tanzanian market and contribute to the implementation of infrastructure projects. President Hassan welcomed this commitment, acknowledging the vast investment opportunities available for Egyptian companies, which would strengthen cooperation and integration between the two nations.
