Qalyubia: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said that the development of the healthcare sector remains one of the government’s top priorities, affirming that they are exerting great efforts to improve medical services across all governorates through both upgrades to existing facilities and the construction of new hospitals.
According to State Information Service Egypt, during his visit to Qalyubia, the Prime Minister inspected the nearly completed Toukh Central Hospital, which is expected to open next month. Construction began in 2019 and covers nearly 10,000 square meters across four floors.
The hospital will serve more than half a million residents and handle emergency cases along the busy Cairo-Alexandria agricultural road. The facility includes 98 beds, covering inpatient units, intensive care, neonatal care, dialysis, operating rooms, outpatient clinics, and a full suite of diagnostic and emergency services.
It also includes support areas such as a pharmacy, sterilization unit, staff housing, ambulance
bays, and a nursing school. The project is part of a broader effort to improve public health infrastructure and ensure modern medical services are available in all regions.
