Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has reiterated key aspects of Egypt’s stance on the Palestinian issue, emphasizing the rejection of displacing Palestinians from Gaza and opposing Israeli efforts to annex the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. He highlighted the necessity for Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, the establishment of a ceasefire, the release of prisoners and hostages on both sides, and efforts toward Gaza’s reconstruction with Palestinian presence.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, noted that the challenge regarding the plan proposed by the US president to halt the war and bring peace to Gaza lies in its details. Egypt is a crucial part of efforts to achieve a ceasefire and end the conflict, Madbouly stated during a press conference following the Cabinet meeting.
Madbouly referenced President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s speech at the Egyptian Military Academy, which delivered clear messages reinforcing Egypt’s steadfast position on the Palestinian cause and the situation in Gaza. He underlined Egypt’s unwavering stance since the onset of the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
Madbouly affirmed Egypt’s commitment to providing support to Palestinians in Gaza, whether through humanitarian aid or diplomatic and political mediation, to stop the ongoing conflict.
